Map

The Direbox Map tab shows you all stations in your area beaconing their location:

Maps on Direbox require an Internet connection. The map is an embed to the wonderful service provided by aprs.to and the work of Steve White, N2RWE.

Direbox will display APRS activity based on the location provided in Settings > Location, but it will not show only stations you've heard - it'll show everything on the APRS-IS iGate network.

Since this first implementation of Direbox Maps relies so heavily on data from APRS-IS, this also means that Direbox's map is only a view of what's happening on the 144.390MHz frequency. It won't display location information if you're on another frequency.

In the future, we would like to include offline maps that display only what you're hearing over the RF mesh. Our focus with Direbox thus far has been to make a great off-grid messaging and data platform (the world is already awash in APRS mapping software), but if you think we should focus more on mapping features, express your support by dropping us a line!
